If the SEC continues to expand and leaves the Alabama schools

in the West Division, then it will be increasingly more difficult to continue the 2 important cross-division games as annual series. Even if the SEC were to use pods, then either important division games or cross-division games will be at risk. I don't the SEC could come up with a combination that would allow:

Tennessee to play Alabama, Kentucky, and Vandy every year.
Alabama to play Auburn and Tennessee every year.
Auburn to play Alabama and Georgia every year.
Georgia to play Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina every year.

If the SEC added 2 teams from the East and decided to go with pods, then the pods would probably look like this:

Pod 1: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Team 15
Pod 2: Kentucky, Tennessee, Vandy, Team 16
Pod 3: Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State
Pod 4: Arkansas, Missouri, LSU, TAMU
